l  Article I  GENERAL PROVISION

Section 1   the name of the organization is the Asian Academy of Osseointegration (AAO).

Section 2   the aim of Asian Academy of Osseointegration is to promote the specialty of implantology in Asia through international exchange

Section 3   the AAO shall consist of members in the Asian region.

l  Article I membership

Section 4   this academy shall consist of the following members:

1. Active members

Members shall be prosthodontists or dentists who support the aim of AAO.

2. Affiliate members

Persons other than dentist who support the aim of AAO

3. Honorary members

4. Student members

Members shall be graduate students of residents in prosthodontics program.

5. Corporate members

Companies or Organizations which support AAO.

All members should be approved by the Council.

l  Article III  FISCAL REGULATION

Section 5   Operational expenses shall be defrayed by annual dues, contributions, and others.

Section 6   Initiation fee for new members shall be US$ 50(fifty) and annual dues shall be US$ 30(thirty). (not applied)

It can be changed from time to time. The fiscal year shall begin on the first day of January and end on the last day of December in each calendar year.

l  Article IV  The COUNCIL

Section 7   the Council of the Academy shall be as follows:

President (one or two, Chairperson)

President Elect (one or two)

Immediate past President

Vice President (three)

Secretaries

Treasurers

Director of Academic affair or Editor

Director of International Relationship

Director of Information Technology

Director of Scientific Meeting

Country-Regional Representatives.

Section 8   Election of Officers

1. The Officers except county/regional representatives shall be elected by the Council.

2. The President shall normally be from the area in which the next scientific meeting will be held.

3. Terms of officers shall be two years and may serve not more than two terms in the same positions.

Section 9   Country/Regional Representatives

Country/Regional representatives shall be from each Implantology Society (normally President) or Dental Association (if there is no implantology organization) or nominated by the Council(if there is no Dental Association) in related Asian countries.

Section 10  General Assembly

Shall comprise of members and shall approve the policies of the AAO as proposed by the Council.

l  Article V  MEETINGS

Section 11  The General Assembly Meeting and the Scientific Meeting shall normally be held every other year.

Section 12  Business meeting of the Council must be held at least once a year.

l  Article VI  AMENDMENTS TO THE BYLAWS

Section 13  Proposed changes to the Bylaws shall be adopted at the Council meeting and shall be confirmed by the General Assembly
